Happy New Year
May the peace of God guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus in 2020. I want to inspire each and every one of you to make it a point to look at your life and notice where God has been part of it. Let’s spend more time thanking and praising God in 2020, and less time complaining. Have you ever wondered why God does not fulfill our every desire?
He often times uses detours in our lives to correct us. Nope, detours are not convenient!! They take us out of our comfort zone. They are routes longer than we had originally planned to travel, however they are necessary. Every time we go on a detour–God is protecting and preparing us for something better. However, most of the time we are too busy to recognize when he is speaking, so he has to sends us on detours. We never sit still long enough to hear his voice and that’s why he does it, simply to prepare us for the future. While on the detour we see things unexpected, and hopefully learn something on the way. He wants us to achieve our goals and give us the desires of our heart, but most of the time we are not ready, so again and again he has to take us on this unexpected journey.
The only way for us to recognize that it’s God guiding the tour is for us to “abide”. Yesss, abide in him, stay connected to the vine. Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. He wants us to remain connected to him so he can connect us to his final destination —Heaven. God always has a way of getting our attention, we may not always like how he does it, but when we are obedient to his promptings, we will reach his desired destination for our lives, and the outcome will always be victorious! So in 2020 open your heart and mind to the gifts from our heavenly father and you will be victorious in every area of your life.
My prayer is that we see with Godly 2020 vision this year, let’s dive into God’s Word and learn more about it.
Have a blessed year!
In Christ,
